Mechanical minimalism in Musou black. ACHROMATIC pairs a deep black open-heart dial with a sculpted 40 mm stainless steel case and the SANDAHL SC110 automatic calibre. With 200 m water resistance, its architectural design is ready for everyday wear.

MUSOU BLACK

Developed in Japan, Musou Black has a microscopic surface structure that traps light, creating an exceptionally deep, ultra-matte black. The manufacturer reports absorption of up to 99.4% of visible light, depending on application. Against this dark backdrop, the hands and open-heart movement appear almost suspended above the dial.

This delicate finish has been a demanding part of developing ACHROMATIC Musou. Even light contact can mark the coating, so creating and assembling the dial in our Nynäshamn workshop calls for exceptional care and precision. In the finished watch, the dial sits beneath sapphire crystal, protected from direct touch.

THE MOVEMENT

MECHANICAL AT HEART

ACHROMATIC uses SANDAHL Calibre SC110, based on the NH38 automatic movement. The open-heart dial reveals part of the mechanism. We finish each movement in our Swedish workshop with a custom-finished rotor and SANDAHL engraving.
