OUR STORY

IT WAS ONLY MEANT TO BE ONE WATCH

SANDAHL did not begin with a business plan. It began with an idea for a watch I wanted to wear myself.

AN IDEA THAT WOULDN'T LET GO

I have always been drawn to watches that feel purposeful — objects made to be used, not simply admired. The sea has always been close to me, and dive watches became a natural part of that interest.

Eventually, the idea of making something of my own became difficult to ignore.

FROM AN IDEA TO ACHROMATIC

Musou Black changed everything. Its extraordinary depth suggested an almost completely black dial, reduced to the essentials, with the mechanical movement still visible.

Getting there was not straightforward. I made close to a hundred attempts in the workshop. Dust, a touch or the smallest imperfection could ruin the surface. Eventually, the idea became ACHROMATIC MUSOU — and SANDAHL had its first watch.

SIX COLLECTIONS. ONE IDEA.

One watch became six collections, each created for a different setting but guided by the same approach: distinctive design, mechanical character and a watch that feels considered in every detail.

FROM EVERYDAY TO EXCEPTIONAL

FROM THE MAKERIET IN NYNÄSHAMN

This is where the watches become SANDAHL. In my workshop in Nynäshamn, I make the dials, modify movements, engrave components and assemble the watches.

I call it the makeriet. It is part workshop, part design studio and the place where ideas are tested until they work.

MADE IN SWEDEN, ONE DETAIL AT A TIME

The process is deliberately hands-on. Dials, engraving, movement details and assembly all pass through the workshop, allowing each watch to carry something of the place where it was made.

A NAME CONNECTED TO THE SEA

SANDAHL is rooted in Nynäshamn, a town shaped by the sea. The trident became a natural symbol for the brand — a connection to the coast, the water and the place where the watches are created.

MADE BY SOMEONE

Putting my name on a watch means taking responsibility for it. For the details you see, the work you don’t, and how it feels when you wear it.

That responsibility stays with me after the watch leaves my workshop. If you have a question or a story to share, I’m here. To me, that is what it should mean to own a watch made by someone.

What started with one black dial in a workshop in Nynäshamn has become the most enjoyable chapter of my professional life.

And it was only meant to be one watch.
