MECHANICAL AT HEART
SANDAHL CALIBRES
Established mechanical engineering, finished with our own identity. Discover the automatic calibres at the heart of SANDAHL WATCHES, modified and finished in our workshop in Nynäshamn, Sweden.
Powered by your movement
Inside an automatic watch, the rotor moves with your wrist and winds the mainspring. Energy stored in the spring powers the hands without a battery.
The amount of energy added depends on how actively and how long you wear the watch. If it has stopped, follow the manual winding instructions for your calibre before setting it. Power reserve runs down while the watch is unworn; you do not need to keep it running solely for storage.

CALIBRE SC100
Based on the Seiko / TMI NH35 with a date mechanism, SC100 brings automatic mechanical watchmaking to ORNATUS, CENTURION and SUITS. Powered by the motion of your wrist, it combines established movement engineering with SANDAHL finishing and engraving.
Each movement is modified and finished in-house in Nynäshamn, Sweden. Its custom-finished rotor carries the SANDAHL trident, name and CALIBRE SC100 engraving. In ORNATUS, the rotor is colour-matched to the dial; CENTURION and SUITS feature a deep blue finish.

SC100 — OWNER’S GUIDE
SC100 is based on the Seiko / TMI NH35 and powers ORNATUS, CENTURION and SUITS. The movement includes a date mechanism; use date setting only when your watch has a date window.

Schematic crown positions after unlocking. Not to scale.
Work with the watch off your wrist, in a dry place. Where a screw-down crown is fitted, gently unscrew it counterclockwise until released. This unlocks the crown; it is not a pulled-out setting click.
After setting, push the crown fully in. For a screw-down crown, apply gentle inward pressure and turn clockwise until snug. Do not force or overtighten it. If the thread does not engage smoothly, stop and start again.
In these instructions, clockwise and counterclockwise describe rotation while looking directly at the outer end of the crown.
Unlock the crown if required and leave it in position 0. Turn it slowly clockwise to wind the mainspring. TMI specifies at least 55 complete crown turns to fully wind an unwound NH35; a short finger movement is not necessarily a full turn.
The watch may start before it is fully wound. Handle it gently, set it as below and secure the crown. Wrist movement then continues the automatic winding. Stop if the crown feels abnormally stiff; never force it.
- Pull the crown to position 2 and move the hands forward to 6:00, clear of the calendar-change period.
- For a watch with a date window, move to position 1 and turn the crown counterclockwise to show yesterday’s date.
- Return to position 2. Move the hands forward until the date advances to today; this identifies midnight. Continue forward to the correct time, allowing for morning or afternoon.
- Push the crown fully in to resume timekeeping, then secure it.
Do not use the date quick-set between 21:00 and 04:00 on the watch’s own indicated time. The calendar mechanism may be engaged. The restriction concerns quick-setting the date, not the current time on your phone.
If you are unsure whether the watch shows morning or evening, first move the hands forward to 6:00 in the time-setting position. The date also needs manual correction after months with fewer than 31 days.

OPEN-HEART AUTOMATIC
CALIBRE SC110
The mechanical heart of ACHROMATIC.
SC110 is SANDAHL’s automatic calibre based on the NH38 open-heart movement. Its custom-finished blue rotor carries the SANDAHL identity and CALIBRE SC110 engraving, with finishing and detailing carried out in our Swedish workshop.
The open-heart dial reveals the movement in motion. SC110 powers all four ACHROMATIC expressions: Musou, Crimson, Petrol and Cobalt.

SC110 has one pulled-out setting click. Do not look for a second click or a date-setting position.
With the crown unlocked where required and in its normal position, turn it slowly clockwise. TMI specifies at least 55 complete crown turns to fully wind an unwound NH38. The watch can start before it is fully wound.
Set the time and secure the crown before wearing the watch. Wrist movement then continues the automatic winding. Never force a crown that feels abnormally stiff.
- Unlock the crown if required.
- Pull it out one click to position 1. The seconds hand stops.
- Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
- Push it back to the normal position to restart the seconds hand, then secure it.
No. SC110 has no calendar mechanism. There is no date to adjust, and the 21:00–04:00 date quick-set restriction does not apply to this calibre.

CALIBRE SC200
SC200 is the automatic calibre at the heart of SHALLOW and AEREUS. Powered by the motion of your wrist, it brings SANDAHL finishing to two distinct dive-watch collections.
Each movement is modified and finished in-house in our workshop in Nynäshamn, Sweden. The deep blue rotor carries the SANDAHL trident, name and CALIBRE SC200 engraving.
SHALLOW pairs the movement with stainless steel; AEREUS surrounds it with CuSn8 bronze. Shown here with the casebacks removed, both reveal the mechanical details beneath the surface.
SC200 is based on the HKPT PT5000. Its date mechanism is retained, while SHALLOW and AEREUS use dials without a date window. Winding and time instructions →

SC200 — OWNER’S GUIDE
SC200 is based on the HKPT PT5000 and powers SHALLOW and AEREUS. The movement contains a date mechanism, but these watches have no date window. Skip date setting and use the outer position to set the time.

After setting, push the crown fully in. For a screw-down crown, apply gentle inward pressure and turn clockwise until snug. Do not force or overtighten it. If the thread does not engage smoothly, stop and start again.
SHALLOW and AEREUS have no visible date. Their intermediate calendar position is not used for normal operation. Pass through it without turning the crown when setting the time.
With the crown released and in its normal position, wind slowly clockwise to give the movement a starting charge. Wind the crown a maximum of 15 to 20 turns to start it. Once you have wound the movement to get it running, the automatic rotor handles the rest of the winding while you wear the watch.
Use gentle, controlled turns and stop if you feel abnormal resistance. Do not force the mechanism or shake the watch vigorously.
Set the time, secure the crown and wear the watch. Normal wrist movement then continues the automatic winding. If it does not start or repeatedly stops despite appropriate winding and wear, contact SANDAHL.
- Unscrew the crown gently until released.
- Pull it out to the outer time-setting position, passing the intermediate calendar click. The seconds hand stops.
- Turn the crown so that the hands move forward to the correct time.
- Push the crown fully in to resume timekeeping. Gently screw it down until snug.
The PT5000 inside SC200 has a calendar mechanism. On SHALLOW and AEREUS, the dial covers the date display. This does not require any action from you.
Skip all date-setting steps and leave the intermediate calendar position unused. The hidden calendar does not prevent you from setting the time in the outer position. Instructions for a watch with a date window must match its final approved configuration.
If, for any reason, you wish to modify the watch with a dial that includes a date display, the following applies in addition to the other terms.
